About the right of signature

Being a certified architect involves responsibility and professional accountability to the built environment, to the public authorities, to the client and the society.

A certified architect is independent in her/his professional decisions, follows the code of ethics and the standards of professional conduct, promotes the cultural, architectural, and social values inherent to an independent practice, has a critical perspective and adopts an active attitude towards improving the quality of the built environment.

The certification is granted by the Romanian Order of Architects, following an interview during which professional knowledge, skills and experience are assessed. The appraisal is carried out by a committee of certified architects.

Once a certified architect, this brings along a series of interrelated rights and obligations.
